Rise is a celebration of color, texture, diversity, light, space and life. The plantings and landform, modeled on a natural landscape, are exaggerated to enhance the sense of separation from reality. Likewise the pipe exaggerates the sense of transition from one world into another.
About the designer / David McCrory and Roger Raiche formed Planet Horticulture in 1996 with a vision of creating unique Bay Area garden environments using the best plants from California and around the world. The team specializes in ecologically friendly gardens and natural area management. Planet Horticulture works with clients from project conception through the installation process and continues with on going care. McCrory and Raiche see each garden and natural area as a living creative environment. Combining sound ecological principals, botanical understanding, and strong visual design skills, McCrory and Raiche blend the ideals of the art and science of horticulture.
